The BOC Annual Rally and Concours

On Sunday the 20th August about 100 cars congregated in the grounds of the Blaise Castle Estate on the outskirts of Bristol for their Annual Rally and Concours, those that could afford to hire a DJ having dined in the Mansion House the night before. The Bristol Club is quite small having just under 900 members but it’s friendly and outgoing and the Blaise Castle Estate is open to the public and a recreational area for Bristolians who were able to stroll amongst the cars and talk to their owners. It all worked rather well and was a pleasing contrast to the RREC who prefer to hold their events in private. I understand that a couple more joined the club too. Interestingly local TV’s Malcolm Frith attended to film and report the event and interview our Chairman. I understand that a short feature appeared on the regional news program a day or two later. The accompanying pictures tell all, they cannot include everyone and many were kindly taken by David and Philippa Bensley.
